The summer holidays are just around the corner. In the long, dark winter months, we have all dreaming about the warmth of sun rays on our skin. But beware: Without the proper sunscreen the sun can cause skin damage in the long term.Sunburn

What protective measures are meaningful?

Which skin type is mine?

Light skin is more sensitive, dark skin types can safely stay in the sun longer – what kind protection needs our skin is individually very different. The harmless sun minute we calculate by (to SPF 25) multiplying the approximate self-protection time of the skin to the sun protection factor (SPF) of sunscreen.

Skin type I – Celtic type: These people usually have red hair, very fair skin and a tendency to form freckles. You will almost never get brown and after approximately 10 minutes without protection get sunburn.

Which sun protection factor is suitable for me?

Always use only sunscreens that contain both UVA and UVB protection. The following SPNs are recommended for different skin types:

Skin type of Children: SPF 30 and higher
Skin type II: SPF 15 to 40
Skin type III: SPF 12 to 30
Skin type IV: SPF 8 to 15

To prevent circulation problems advised much to drink. Everyone should drink per day between 2.5 and three liters. What the experts say. In the heat a mineral water is the best.
