Consumption of vegetables protects against asthma
Vegetables is healthy. But can it may also prevent asthma? An American study provides instructions. Especially for children a high vegetable consumption is sensible.
American doctors have examine how the consumption of vegetables on the risk of developing asthma affects. 476 children from 11 to 14 years old were interviewed together with their parents about their dietary habits of the past year. The children were asked, among other, how much green, orange and red vegetables taken to be had. However, the consumption of fast food like pizza or french fries, as well as fish or meat were queried. It was found that children who took a lot of vegetables and less fast food to be had a significantly lower risk of developing asthma than others.

The researchers suggest that the protective effects of vegetables on the high levels of antioxidants, which are present in vegetable based.
